Tim Loehrke - email - timandjan_at_verizon.net .

I am Tim Loehrke, living in Herndon Virginia flying out of Warrengton VA. I hold a Private license and Glider rating. I am currently building an Avid Mark 4, have a complete kit that I bought second hand that was barely started. I have everything to complete the kit including a new Jabiru 2200. I built and fly a Kolb Firestar2 that I licensed in 1997 with about 200 hours on the airplane. I enjoy building as much as flying, hence the Avid project.
The photos are:
1- Flying the Kolb Firestar 2 over northern Virgina.
2- My daughter Piper and I in a friends Piper Cub, she loves to fly with me and we take the cub out every chance we get.
3- Welding on the Mark 4 fuselage. I did some modifications per Steve at Airdale. Here I am adding some attach points for the battery and possibly the ELT, wing strobes etc. I figured with the Jabiru I would make a place for these items behind the seat. I also added some shoulde seat belt mounts, an antenna mound, a mount to help support the turtle deck and reinforced the main wing attach points. This is all I plan to do, I want to build this one as lite as possible.
