Sid Hausding.

I purchased a kit from an individual that had only started the construction. He lived in Sacremento, CA and I flew from northern Michigan to CA and rented a truck for the transportation back to Alpena,Michigan. (49707) After stopping in Nampa, ID to try and visit the old Avid company I drove across country on a very enjoyable site -seeing tour home..........no problems with the parts, wings, and fuselage in transit.
The Speedwing now sits in my garage waiting for the final inspection and taxi testing in the spring of "04" and then into the air with it. I have the 582 taildragger version, twin tanks, dual controls and brakes, and fully faired out for streamlining and speed. Its got the large tires, but with the wheel pants too. It is aerobatic and I look forward to doing some of the limited aerobatics the company and FAA will allow. I do have a set of STOL wings and want to finish them and purchase some floats for the fun of water flying and landings here in the Great Lakes State.
