This is one of the last if not the last Catalina kit (ser. #170AB, N1945J) purchased from the Montana Avid factory. Building time was about 2 years with the help of Noel Simmons of Blue Sky Aviation. First flight was 11/08/2003. The Cat has a Rotax 912S and an Airmaster 3-blade constant speed prop (70" Warp Drive blades). Bad weather and other demands on time have kept me from much test flying as it currently has only 6 hours on it. I live on a Puget Sound beach near Port Townsend, WA so look forward to some water landings this Summer.
